Dark Holes on the Net

I'm a little upset over how blind people are about SOPA. I can't say I'm well versed in the subject, but I think I know just about enough about it to be angry and also afraid at the same time. I'm not American, I don't live in America, and you might ask, mx? Why do you care so much? Well, I don't know. It's the internet we're talking about here. We're talking internet censorship from one of the world's most influential countries. I fear that if SOPA is passed, other countries will follow suit.

One of English Wikipedia's working pages is this page. This is also good. Google also posted about opposing the bill.

Despite being a bit of a pessimist on these things, it's very likely that this bill will be passed. I don't want to live in North Korea.

Use trackback on this entry.

Besides, even if we don't live in the US, I'm still going to be sad when our favourite US-based websites get into trouble.

A lot of the net is based in the States, or has a .com url so....

I hope Canadian government isn't as, well, radical and stupid. I mean last year something of this general idea happened but they opposed it quickly, thank god.

It's just that I'm not American so I can't sign petitions on SOPA. Which is silly. Why can't I oppose it even if I'm not American? This bill affects people world-wide.

Due to my hereditary lack of energy, I have been hibernating since childhood.
